A dialogue on the merits and demerits of city life and country/village/rural life
Mina : Hello, Razu! How’re you?
Razu : I’m fine and you?
Mina : I’m not very well. I’m tired of city life, so I’m going to my village home today.
Razu : What do you mean? I can’t understand clearly. Please explain in detail.
Mina : City life seems very artificial to me. I’m bored with this busy city life.
Razu : What problems do you face here?
Mina : Noise, crowd, dirt, smoke, bad smell and many other things.
Razu : So, you prefer a quiet village life among simple village people? There are no cinemas, theatres or even good roads there.
Mina : But you forgot to mention the green fields, rivers and natural beauty of villages. Though many villagers are uneducated, they are simple, honest and kind-hearted.
Razu : It sounds like a poet’s imagination!
Mina : But villages are full of natural beauty, peace, and happiness.
Razu : You should know that beauty alone cannot help in practical life. Villages often lack doctors, hospitals and good schools.
Mina : But in villages, you can get fresh food, milk, fish, and vegetables.
Razu : Okay, then, enjoy your village life, and let me stay in the city.
Mina : Certainly! However, I’ll be happy if you visit my village someday. Thank you.
Razu : You’re most welcome.
