Robert Bruce was a famous king. His enemies invaded his kingdom. He fought courageously but lost many battles. To save his life from the opponent’s attack, he fled away from his kingdom and took shelter in a remote cave. The king was always in a pensive mood because of his unhappy condition.

While he lay in the cave, he suddenly saw a spider trying hard to reach the ceiling. The spider failed again and again to attain success. But it did not lose heart. Bruce saw the spider climbing to the ceiling after many unsuccessful attempts.

This dauntless spider inspired Robert Bruce to foil despair. He gathered an army of strong men and attacked his enemies with new vigor. The enemies courted defeat, and Robert Bruce regained his kingdom.

Robert Bruce, king of Scotland, fought several battles to regain his country’s freedom, but he fell into great danger and fled to save his life. He took shelter in a cave and was thinking about how he could get back his kingdom.

Suddenly, he noticed a spider that was trying hard to reach the ceiling. It tried again and again, but dropped down every time. But it didn’t give up hope. It failed six times before succeeding on the seventh attempt.

This sight of the spider inspired King Robert Bruce. With a new hope, the king came out of the cave and went back to his kingdom. He gathered an army of strong men to attack his enemies and fought against them more seriously.

At last, he defeated his enemies and got back his kingdom. However, Robert Bruce realized the importance of perseverance and said, “Failure is the pillar of success”.

Once there was a mighty king. When he became a little powerless, his enemies attacked him and defeated him. But he was not a man to give up easily. He was determined to regain his kingdom.

So he collected soldiers and attacked his enemies six times. But he was defeated every time. He was then forced to take shelter in a cave in a faraway land.

One day, he was thinking of his sad lot lying in the cave. Suddenly, he noticed a spider. The spider was trying to reach the ceiling of the cave. It fell to the ground six times.

But the little creature did not give up. It made another attempt. It became successful in its seventh attempt.

The king was greatly inspired by this incident. He again collected troops and made a violent attack on his enemies. This time, the king also became successful. His dream of regaining his kingdom came true.

Once there lived a good king in Scotland. His name was Robert Bruce. He loved his country and his subjects very dearly. His subjects had a great love and respect for him as well.

One day, his enemies attacked his country and drove him away from his kingdom. The king of Scotland fought several battles to regain his country’s freedom, but all his attempts were in vain. Naturally, he was very sad and felt frustrated.

One day, sitting in his hiding place, he was brooding over his misfortune. Suddenly, he noticed a spider trying to reach the ceiling with the help of its silken thread to complete the cobweb. The spider tried again and again to go up, but dropped down every time.

Six attempts made by the spider failed one after another. But still, it did not lose heart and went on trying. Bruce observed the spider with keen interest and saw that on the seventh attempt, the spider succeeded.

The perseverance of the spider encouraged Bruce. He saw a ray of hope. Filled with new hope, he brought together his scattered forces and faced his enemies once more with renewed energy. This time, he prevailed over his enemies and succeeded in defeating them.
