A Tea Stall

A tea stall is a very common and popular place in both towns and villages in Bangladesh. It is usually a small, simple shop found at the corner of a street, near a railway station, bus stand, or market. Inside the stall, there are a few wooden benches and a table for customers to sit on. The main attraction is a large kettle boiling on a stove, ready to make hot tea at any time.

A tea stall is not just a place to drink tea; it is also a busy social gathering spot. People from all walks of life, like laborers, students, and elders, visit the stall. They come to refresh themselves after a long day of work. While sipping on a hot cup of milk tea or lemon tea, customers love to talk about different topics, including politics, sports, and daily life.

Along with tea, the stall usually sells simple snacks like biscuits, buns, bananas, and betel leaf. The stall keeper, often assisted by a young boy, stays very busy from early morning until late at night serving the customers. A tea stall is a loud and lively place that plays a big part in our daily culture.
