Climate change
Climate change is one of the biggest challenges our world faces today. It means that the earth’s average temperature is going up, making the planet warmer than it should be. This happens mostly because of human activities. When we burn oil, gas, and coal to run cars, light up our homes, and power big factories, we trap heat in the air. Cutting down large forests also makes the problem worse because trees help clean our air.
This extra heat changes our weather in scary ways. We now see hotter summers, heavier rains, and stronger storms. In some places, it does not rain for a very long time, causing terrible droughts where plants cannot grow. In other places, huge ice blocks are melting in the coldest parts of the world. This extra water goes into the oceans, causing sea levels to rise and flooding towns near the beach.
Climate change hurts everyone, including humans, plants, and animals. Many animals are losing their homes because it is too hot or because their forests are disappearing. However, we can still help save our planet. We can use clean energy from the sun and the wind instead of burning dirty fuels. We can also plant more trees, recycle our trash, and use less water and electricity at home. By making small changes in our daily lives and working together, we can protect the earth and keep it safe, healthy, and beautiful for the future.
