A dialogue between two friends on the uses and abuses of Facebook.
Mina : Hello, Razu! How’re you?
Razu : I’m fine, and you?
Mina : I’m also fine. I’ve heard that you’ve opened a Facebook account. Is it true?
Razu : Yes, it is true. Recently, I opened a Facebook account.
Mina : Could you please tell me why you opened the account?
Razu : This is the age of globalization. The internet has made the world a global village. So, I think having a Facebook account is useful.
Mina : It’s okay if your purpose is good and positive.
Razu : Of course, my purpose is positive. Facebook is a very popular social networking site that helps us stay connected with relatives and friends living in different parts of the world.
Mina : You’re right. But you should be careful while connecting with unknown people.
Razu : Really? What problems can happen if I connect with unknown people?
Mina : That’s a good question. Unknown people may cheat you by hiding their real identity.
Razu : Yes, I know. Many unwanted activities are also happening on Facebook nowadays.
Mina : Exactly! However, don’t become too addicted to Facebook. Addiction can harm your studies and affect your mindset.
Razu : Yes, certainly!
Mina : I hope you’ll always stay on the right path. Thank you.
Razu : You’re most welcome. See you again.
